Arcus 6 – Compact
A compact version of our proven top performer
The Arcus 6 has very quickly established itself in its class because of its convincing flight characteristics and unequalled performance statistics, and Swing is now offering this popular glider in a compact version as well. The Arcus 6 Compact used with the Connect Reverse (our convertible harness - extremely comfortable to carry) form the ideal combination for any pilot who is looking for compact and lightweight equipment to use on paragliding trips and/or where there will be a lengthy walk.
The lightweight fabric of 4-6g/m² on average gives the Arcus 6 Compact a weight saving of approx. 700g, resulting in a much smaller pack size. A conscious decision was made not to use unsheathed lines, thinner risers or extremely lightweight fabric, so as not to compromise the Compact version’s suitability for everyday use by the Arcus 6 target group. This also ensures that its flight behaviour is nearly identical to the standard version.
Although a high level of usability was the focus in the technical realisation of the Arcus 6 Compact, the thinner, smoother fabric is a little more sensitive than the extremely stable fabric used for the Arcus 6 base model (this is something which is unavoidable with lightweight gliders). We therefore recommend the standard version of the Arcus 6 to beginners and to pilots who do a lot of ground-handling. Pilots who often fly in areas in which the paraglider fabric is put under a lot of strain on launch and landing, e.g., coastal flying, would also be better advised to use the particularly hard-wearing base version.
ARCUS 6.32 - Compact (120 to 150 kg)
Flying enjoyment for “larger” pilots too
New performance possibilities for a group of pilots which is all too often neglected: we have added a sixth size of glider to the popular Arcus 6 range, so it now includes the 120 – 150kg weight group. The Compact 6.32 nevertheless remains a LTF1/1-2 glider. The larger surface area is compensated by the lighter material combination in the Compact version, so it offers a pleasant pack size which is comfortable to carry. This size will therefore be available only in the Compact version.

It keeps getting better: the Arcus 6.32 Compact can be converted into a small tandem glider. This is a unique selling point which should not be underestimated when it comes to resale! It is ideally suited for lighter pilots and social pilots who would like to take their children or friends flying. The 32 Compact converts into a very appealing and agile tandem by simply changing the risers. In just a few quick steps, the small tandem changes back to an “outsized” solo glider.
